Things to remember

  1. All Cast must be prompt to the theater, adhering to their call times appropriately. Company members must arrive ready to go for warm up.

  2. All dancers must have their hair neatly secured with bobby pins, hairnets, and hairspray in their correct hairstyle for all rehearsals and performances at THS.

  3. All cast must apply a liberal amount of stage makeup as the stage lights will wash out skin and eyes. This means heavy blush, eye makeup, and red lipstick.

  4. Each dancer should bring a laundry basket with their name attached to keep personal costumes and items secured. They should also bring bandaids, hairspray, extra tights and shoes in case of emergency.

  5. Angels, Peppermints, and Sugar Plum Princesses must arrive with their hair and makeup already done. Please wait until intermission to bring them to the backstage area.

  6. Only ONE parent may be backstage with their dancer and will be asked to leave 30 minutes prior to show time. Only parents who have a designated backstage job will be given a backstage pass to enter the dressing room area.

  7. First Act dancers may leave after intermission as long as they are in street clothes and not their costumes.

  8. All cast is expected to keep the dressing rooms and backstage area neat, clean, and orderly at all times. There will be no running around backstage. Costume MUST be placed on their hangers when not being worn. Headpieces will remain in the costume drawers and returned after rehearsals or performances immediately. PLEASE NO SPRAY TANS. If there is damage to your costume, you will be subject to a fine to repair/replace the costume.

  9. All dancers’ cell phones must be put away during rehearsals and performances or they will be turned in to Mrs. Sharon until the performance is over.

Due to our large cast and for the safety of our Guest Artists and dancers, we will not allow any photos to be taken on stage before or after the performances. We will have a designated photo area in the lobby for you to use. Due to copyright laws, personal videoing is not allowed. For the safety of our dancers, flash photography (including cell phones) during performances or rehearsals is strictly prohibited and you WILL be asked to leave the theater.

We are so excited to get The Nutcracker on stage!

Thank you,
