The Tupelo Ballet is a non-profit organization chartered in 1982. The founder, Sharon Long, serves as artistic director. The Ballet is funded from various sources including grants from the Mississippi Arts Commission, the Southern Arts Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts.

 

The objectives of the Tupelo Ballet are to foster interest in classical ballet and other forms of dance, to provide professional excellence in dance training, to offer serious dancers an opportunity to perform regularly, and to provide programs of the highest artistic quality for the North Mississippi area.
